Laboratory Department
Laboratory Department
The laboratory of Medical Centre has been established in 2003.
The head of the clinical Laboratory is Mrs. Elena Rybka.
The head of the Bacteriology Laboratory is Mrs. Victoria Terekhova
Each member of personnel has self-development courses in Kazakhstan, Russia and European countries.
Laboratory Department along with internal quality control constantly takes part in external quality control programmes. The laboratory has International Quality Certificates with regard to quality of biochemical and immunological analyses.
Biochemical Section
This section is equipped with analysers produced by leading manufacturers. It performs a wide range of biochemical, immunological and coagulometric studies.
Biochemical systems: VITROS 350 and HITACHI 902
Haemostasis analysers: STAGO COMPACT and SNAGO START
Study duration time – 2.5 to 8 minutes
Test menu: ALT, AST, GGT, LDG, amylase, pancreatic amylase, choline esterase, alkaline phosphotase, creatine phosphokinase, MR-fraction CPK, total bilirubin, direct, non-direct, delta, neonatal, total protein, albumin, globulin, creatinine, Roeberg test, urea, uric acid, thymol test, glucose, lactate, cholesterol, triglyceride, high-density and low-density lipoprotein, iron, phosphor, magnesium, copper, lead, zinc, manganese, ionised calcium, total calcium, potassium, sodium, chlorine, carbon dioxide, ammonium, osmolality, anionic difference, ethanol, digoxin, PTI, INR, fibrinogen, APPT, thrombin time test, ethane test, SFC, agrescreen-test, C-reactive protein, rheumatic factor.
Immunodiagnostic system VITROS EciQ
Patented detection technology – amplified chemiluminescence ensures wide dynamic range of parameters measured, as well as high precision and sensitivity. This is the only system that checks, assesses and documents each result.
Test menu: HIV, hepatitis A, B antibodies, early and late, Australian and НВе Аg hepatitis B antigens, measles, toxoplasmosis, cytomegalovirus early and late antibodies; cardiac markers troponine and myoglobin; oncologic markers PSA, SA-125II, SA-15-3, SA-19-9, CEA (PEA), AFR; thyroid hormones TTH, free T3 and T4; reproductive hormones estradiol, progesterone, FSH, LH, prolactin, testosterone; most accurate marker to estimate iron resources – ferritine, metabolism index cortisone, skeletal synthesis test NTx.
Haematology Clinic Section
In addition to total analyses of blood, urine, faeces, gall, sputum, prostatic fluid, ejaculate, exudates fluids, cerebrospinal fluids conducted by traditional manual methods this section conducts automated analyses of blood and urine using up-to-date computerised systems which allow receiving high accuracy result in 3 to 5 minutes.
Haemoanalysers Sysmex КХ21N allow defining 19 blood parameters: white blood, red blood, platelet counts, haemoglobin, haemotocryte, average corpuscular volume, average haemoglobin contents in red blood cell, red cell distribution width – anysocytosis index, average platelet volume, neutrophil contents, lymphocyte contents, middle cell contents (monocytes, acydocytes, basophiles) etc.
Haemoanalysers Sysmex ХT2000i – haematological cytoflow meter that allows defining with high reliability extent 33 blood parameters. In addition it can calculate reticulocytes including aging index to control erythropoietin activities effectively, optical analyses of platelet fluorescence for accurate calculation of platelet, correlation and index of neutrophil and index of neutrophil, lymphocytes, monocytes, acydocytes, basophiles.
Automatic analyser of urine formed elements Sysmex UF-1000i. Fluorescence cytoflow metering technology and method of cell population and other formed elements cluster analysis ensures accurate and reliable classification and identification of 10 basic types of urine formed elements (red blood, white blood, epithelial cells, impurities, bacteria, crystals, yeast, pathologic impurities, small circular cells and spermatozoa).
Biochemical express urine analyser Urisys 1100 allows conducting quick definition of 10 parameters: specific density, white blood cells, acidity, nitrites, red blood cells, glucose, bilirubin, ketone bodies, and urobilinogen.
Bacteriology Section
This section can identify causative agents and define sensitivity by traditional methods, as well as automatic bacteriological analyser Vitek 2 Compact 30 (BioMerieux, France) – well-known leading equipment. The reading of test-cards is done every 15 minutes; analysis results are available in 2-4 hours.
Section of Genetic and Molecular Studies
Using PCR-analysis technology this section can identify causative agents of urogenital infections (chlamydiosis, mycoplasmosis, ureaplasmosis, gonorrhoea, trichomoniasis, and gardnerellosis), cytomegalovirus infection, and herpes simplex virus. And also predisposing factor of developing uterine cervix carcinoma – papilloma virus.
Paid laboratory studies room was established for local population servicing, where specialists can sample material for further studies, and those studies are conducted within short period of time.
Paid laboratory studies room 2А073 receives patients from 08.00am until 15.00pm, except for Sunday, and on Saturdays from 08.00am until 12.00pm. The lunch time is from 12.15pm until 12.45pm.
