X-ray examination
There are various types of radiological examinations, such as:- routine radiography;
- radiography of bones and joints;
- chest x-ray;
- radiography of the spine.
Is performed in standard projections, and special functional positions. Does not require special training to study. Do not have risks and complications, in addition to x-ray irradiation. Not be pregnant in the first two trimesters (the third trimester, as clinically indicated).
X-ray linear tomography
Special x-ray examination: roentgenoscopy of the esophagus and stomach, small and large intestine, excretory urography, hysterosalpingography (HSG)
Is performed to confirm the diagnosis in diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, the genitourinary system. Hysterosalpingography(HSG) be performed when infertility to assess tubal patency.
These studies require special training:
the study of the esophagus, stomach be on empty stomach;
irrigography and hysterosalpingography be performed after a diet and cleaning the colon.
Risks and complications studies of the colon, hysterosalpingography include perforation of the intestine or of the uterus. Data from the study is women in the first phase of the menstrual cycle. Do not have risks and complications, in addition to x-ray irradiation. Not to be pregnant.
